Master the Science of Human Touch
The purpose of this full-time program is to prepare students with the skills, attitudes and knowledge to write the provincial board examinations set by the College of Massage Therapists of British Columbia. The massage therapy program at Western Community College is completed over six semesters delivering and assessing the curriculum guideline entry to practice documents:
- The Inter‐Jurisdictional Practice Competencies and Performance Indicators for Massage Therapists at Entry‐to‐Practice, and the
- Guidelines for Foundational Knowledge in Massage Therapy Educational programs

After successful completion of WCC RMT program, the graduates will be able to apply to the College of Massage Therapists of British Columbia to sit for the provincial registration examinations.
On successful completion of the CMTBC registration examinations and paying all required registration fees, candidates will be awarded a license to practice as a Registered Massage Therapist.

Admission Requirements
To enroll in the Registered Massage Therapy, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Grade 12 or Mature Student Status (19 years of age or more).
- Completion of an Introductory Massage workshop, or the equivalent
- Completion of a Criminal record Check
- Completion of Assessment for Prior Learning (if applicable)
- Standard First Aid and CPR-C with AED or Standard First Aid-Health Care Provider (required for clinical internship)
