Program Overview

The Network Support Technician program fulfills the need for trained entry-level network technicians. Computer network technicians establish, operate, maintain, and coordinate the use of local and wide area networks (LANs and WANs), mainframe networks, hardware, software, and related computer equipment. The Network Support Technician program provides a solid foundation for anyone looking to enter the IT field or advance their career in network support. Wages

Earn up to $49.00* per hour as a Computer Network Technician or Web Technician
All wages are taken from the Canada Job Bank

Program Admission Requirements

Grade 12 or Mature Student Status (19 years of age or more). Students will need to submit a proof of English Language Competency by any one of the following options:

Domestic Students:

  • Grade 10 English
  • English Language Proficiency Assessment Test conducted by the College

International Students:

  • IELTS 5.5 Bands or More
  • CLB Score of 6 or more
  • PTE Academic 50 or more
  • Any other English language assessment test with equivalent score
  • English Language Proficiency Assessment Test conducted by the College

Program Duration

480 hours / 24 weeks full time

The Certified IT Technician program is seventeen weeks in length – 480 hours, full-time classroom learning. The program is offered on a full-time basis, four hours per day, and scheduled Monday to Friday.
