CompTIA Authorized Academy

Western Community College is proud to be a CompTIA Authorized Academy Partner. This program provides valuable tools and resources which help WCC to train, certify, and upgrade the skills of our students in IT. CompTIA’s Academy program is designed to encourage certification and to improve career opportunities for students.

At Western Community College, you will be trained for your certification exam by knowledgeable instructors who provide personalized instruction and deliver the subject matter in a professional, thorough manner with accredited materials and procedures. Through the CompTIA Authorized Partner Program, our qualified instructors have been reviewed and approved by CompTIA to ensure that they deliver the finest exam preparation possible.

Microsoft Imagine Academy

As a Microsoft Imagine Academy Program Member, we employ a global learning solution and high-caliber training programs for Microsoft technologies, to help students reach their potential, academically and in their careers. The program provides access to Microsoft software licenses, E-Learning opportunities, official Microsoft course materials, and recognized certifications. The program connects education with real-world applications, giving students the necessary IT skills success in post-secondary courses and in today’s technology-based job market.

Microsoft Imagine provides professional developer tools, software, and services to our faculty and students with low-cost subscription options from Microsoft, so they have access to the latest technologies and cloud services.

Microsoft Imagine software allows for students taking at least one credit course offered by a WCC member department to install the software on their personal devices for use in their coursework as well as their personal development projects. Special member licensing rights also allow a WCC department to install Microsoft Imagine software and services on our departmental lab machines for instruction and research.

VMware IT Academy

The VMware IT Academy program creates a collaborative relationship between VMWare and Academic institutions, such as WCC. Through this program, students acquire training and certifications on VMWare technologies, with high-quality educational content, and experience VMware technologies which are used by 97 percent of the Fortune Global 500 companies and over 500,000+ customers. Students with VMware training and certifications may be better positioned for higher-paying IT jobs and employment by firms seeking workers skilled in virtualization and cloud computing.

Vancouver Community College

Students completing the Diploma in Hospitality Management program at Western Community College who achieve the required academic standing and meet the required criteria will be eligible for admission to Vancouver Community College with full block transfer in the Bachelor of Hospitality Degree.

Yorkville University

Western Community College offers unique diploma and certificate programs in various professional fields, including Health Care, Business, Accounting, Pharmacy and IT. Their career-based programs prepare the graduates for the job market as well as for further education. We have partnered with Yorkville University to paves a pathway for the students who wish to pursue their career in Accounting field. The graduates of the Advanced Accounting Diploma program at Western Community College get transfer credits towards the BBA program at Yorkville University, BC Campus. Students completing the diploma program at WCC who achieve the required academic standing may enroll into the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with one of the four specializations (Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Project Management, Energy Management) program and receive advanced standing.

Students completing the Business Management Diploma program at Western Community College who achieve the required academic standing may enroll into the Administrative Studies Diploma at NVIT (Nicola Valley Institute Of Technology).

Glion Institute of Higher Education

Glion Institute of Higher Education is a hotel management school situated in Glion sur Montreux, Switzerland offering an international learning experience in a top hospitality management school. We have partnered with Glion, so on completion of either: the Diploma in Hospitality Management program, Diploma in Business Management, or Diploma in Advanced Accounting at Western Community College students have the opportunity to continue their studies in the BBA in International Hospitality Business at Glion.

Les Roches Global Hospitality Education

One of the world’s leading hospitality schools Les Roches offers undergraduate and graduate hospitality degree programs with campuses in Switzerland, Spain and China. We have partnered with Les Roches, on completion of either: the Diploma in Hospitality Management program, Diploma in Business Management, or Diploma in Advanced Accounting at Western Community College students have the opportunity to continue their studies in the BBA in Global Hospitality Management at Les Roches.

Fairleigh Dickinson University

Fairleigh Dickinson University is a center of academic excellence dedicated to the preparation of world citizens through global education. The University strives to provide students with the multi-disciplinary, intercultural, and ethical understandings necessary to participate, lead, and prosper in the global marketplace of ideas, commerce, and culture.

The University offers over 100 undergraduate and graduate degree programs, including doctoral programs in pharmacy, nursing practice, clinical psychology and school psychology; and an AACSB-accredited business school. Degree programs are offered on two New Jersey campuses and at two FDU locations outside the U.S.: Wroxton College, in Oxfordshire in England, and the Vancouver Campus, in British Columbia, Canada.

British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT)

Western Community College and British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) have partnered to create the Western Community College-BCIT Pathway: a cross-institutional agreement enabling Western Community College graduates entry into the BCIT School of Business + Media. If you complete the entire pathway you will have the opportunity to earn a BCIT Business Management Advanced Diploma and a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) – the perfect complement to your creative education.

The International Air Transport Association (IATA)

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) is the trade association for the world’s airlines, representing some 300 airlines or 83% of total air traffic. IATA supports aviation with global standards for airline safety, security, efficiency and sustainability.

Western Community College is certified by The International Air Transport Association to conduct authorized IATA Training Courses in accordance with the terms and conditions agreed upon.
