“My journey in the Medical Laboratory Assistant program at Western Community College has been nothing short of amazing. Over the past eight months, I’ve learned so much, met incredible people, and built memories that will last a lifetime.
At first, I was a little nervous—working with blood and using needles seemed intimidating. But with the guidance of an incredible instructor and the support of my classmates, I gained confidence quickly. The hands-on training made all the difference, and now I feel fully prepared to enter the field.
My goal is to start as a phlebotomist, mastering my skills over the next several years before exploring more areas in the medical field, like microbiology. The possibilities are endless, and WCC has given me the foundation to take my career in any direction.
If you’re considering this program but are hesitant, don’t be! The training, the positive learning environment, and the supportive staff make WCC an excellent place to start your journey in healthcare. I couldn’t be happier with my experience, and I highly recommend it!”
