Sohail Mahmood Durrani, the esteemed head of our aviation program, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to Western Community College. With a Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from Riga, Latvia, Sohail has dedicated over 38 years to the field of aviation training and management. As a licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Instructor, he has imparted knowledge on various aircraft types, including TU-154, AN-24, Ka-26, Boeing 737, and Boeing 777. Sohail’s commitment to excellence is evident in his attendance at numerous Airline Professional Training Programs by industry giants like Boeing, Airbus, General Electric, and IATA. Throughout his career, he has garnered international recognition, receiving accolades such as different International Airline Awards.. With seven years of experience as General Manager Airline Training and Principal Airline Training, Sohail Mahmood Durrani stands as a beacon of knowledge and leadership in the aviation industry.
