The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is designed to assess the language ability of a person who wants to study or work where English is the language of communication. IELTS is considered as one of the highest international standards of English language assessment. It covers the four language skills – Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. There are two streams of learning namely academic and general.
All candidates take the same Listening and Speaking Modules while Reading and Writing Modules are different. Which stream of learning is required by a student depends on the candidate’s ultimate objective. If a candidate wants to undertake academic study, they should take the Academic Reading and Writing Modules. On the other hand, if someone is planning to undertake non-academic training or apply for immigration into Canada they would be better to take the General Training Reading and Writing Modules.
The IELTS Preparation Program is designed to introduce the format of the IELTS exam to the students and give them practice for all the four skills, that is, Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking.
