Creating a safe and professional healthcare environment means protecting both patients and practitioners.
Our Registered Massage Therapy students recently welcomed Bodhi Haraldsson, RMT Education Director at painPRO Clinics, for an insightful guest lecture on practitioner safety, professional boundaries, and ethical practice.
Lessons From the Field
Drawing from his professional experience, Bodhi highlighted the importance of clear communication, accurate documentation, and maintaining high standards of professionalism throughout every patient interaction. His insights gave students a practical, real world lens on the standards they will be expected to uphold once they enter clinical practice.
Compassionate Care Meets Practitioner Safety
The session reinforced that compassionate patient care goes hand in hand with practitioner safety. Students were encouraged to establish clear boundaries, maintain detailed clinical records, and recognize that harassment and abuse have no place in any healthcare setting.
