Western Community College is pleased to announce that Rajesh Regmi, who teaches in the Bachelor of Hospitality Management program, has published two research articles in 2026.
Regmi’s article, “Optimizing Profitability Across the Rooms Segments in Whistler, BC: A Multifaceted Approach,” was published on July 8, 2026 in the Journal of Hospitality & Tourism Cases: An International Case Journal. The case study examines declining room revenue at a Whistler hotel property and asks readers to analyze performance data and develop a data-driven strategy for revenue growth.
Regmi’s second article, “AI-Driven Digital Transformation and Financial Performance: A Case Study of Marriott International,” was presented at the 24th APacCHRIE Conference, held May 28 to 31, 2026 in Osaka, Japan. The conference was co-hosted by Ritsumeikan University Business School and the Hong Kong Polytechnic University School of Hotel and Tourism Management. The study analyzes Marriott International’s 2021 to 2023 financial performance to examine how the company’s technology investments contributed to gains in operating margin and net income.
Congratulations to Rajesh Regmi on these publications.
