Hospitality job opportunities in Food Services

There are two major sections in the food and beverage industry where you can work after getting your hospitality diploma.

Restaurant Manager

This is an excellent profile to consider while looking for a job after completing the hospitality degree. Especially for those who have good leadership qualities, this job role is something that you should consider investing yourself in. This job position will include several different day-to-day activities, including – setting p the employee schedules, creating proper workflows, creating and verifying the working conditions, optimizing operations in the kitchen, improving customer relations, and creating and submitting performance reports.

Catering manager

Another excellent option is the catering industry. After completing your hospitality course, you can apply for the role of catering manager. Be it in-house catering at a restaurant or an outdoor catering project, you, being a graduate in hospitality, can apply for the catering manager position.

Hospitality job opportunities in Event Planning

Event planning is another excellent field that you can work in after completing your hospitality degree or diploma. There are several different roles that you can apply for when it comes to event planning –

In-House event manager/planner

Booking clients, arranging and attending meetings, solving any event-related situation, and even arranging the post-event clean up are responsibilities of an event planner. If you are looking to work in the event planning industry after graduation, you can apply for the role of an event planner.

Hospitality job opportunities in Front Desk Management

Front Desk Manager

A front desk manager works in the hospitality industry, in an establishment such as a hotel, resort, or inn. The day-to-day responsibilities of someone in this position may vary, depending on the size of the establishment and the number of other employees that work there, but it is a challenging job that requires a person to possess excellent customer service skills as well as the ability to work well with others. The manager needs to know virtually everything there is to know about the hotel to answer customers’ questions accurately, and this can typically only come from experience. Once the person gains a management position, they may spend less time working at the desk and will instead spend more time behind the scenes.

Customer Relations Manager

Customer relations manager, is another perfect job option for a hospitality degree holder. In this job role, you will be responsible for taking care of customers’ needs. This position allows you to understand and improve the company’s image and keep it like that in front of the customers, increasing loyalty and retention. One of the essential things to note about this job is that it brings together the complex data collected from customer behavior from different sources of information, including – websites, email, chat, etc.

Marketing and Sales Executives

Every business has a marketing and sales department responsible for handling and expanding the business. This is what you can handle if you have a hospitality degree. This job position would ask a lot from you, starting from developing content, sales strategy, and managing press releases and product launches.
